Caloocan City Cooperative Development Council (CCCDC)

BRIEF HISTORY

Established and organized on January 16, 1997 in compliance with Executive Order no. 95 dated June 8, 1993 and Executive order no 96 dated June 8, 1993.  The leaders continuously served the Council since their last oath in April 21, 2009 at the Bayan ng Caloocan, sworn into office by Councilor Teben Cunanan.  The officers were revitalized under the RA9520 otherwise known as the Cooperative Code of 2008.  The efforts of the Council pursued for the creation of the Caloocan City Cooperative Development Office (CCCDO). The Sanguniang Bayan ng Kalookan Committee on Cooperatives, NGO’s, and PO’s was instructed by the Honorable Mayor Oscar G. Malapitan, to prepare an ordinance for the creation of the proposed CDO, as petitioned by the CCCDC.

For the past four years, the Council suffered setbacks due to pressing financial problems, lack of support from the Local City Government and lack of unity among Caloocan cooperative leaders.  Adopted the Manual of Operations to revitalize CCCDC, organized by the newly designated Consultant of the City Cooperative Development & Coordinating Office (CDCO) duly present during the Cooperative Forum & General Assembly held in July 30, 2014.
